Beirut, Lebanon - July 30, 2026: Alfa officially launched the 5G service today in coordination with the Ministry of Telecommunications.
Alfa announces that as an initial phase, it has permanently reactivated the 5G sites that were deployed during the visit of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV to Lebanon. Starting today, 5G services are available in Downtown Beirut, Antelias, Dekwaneh, the Port of Beirut area, and the Presidential Palace in Baabda. The launch comes as internet consumption continues to increase, driven in part by the growing number of visitors arriving in Lebanon.
Alfa will progressively deploy and activate additional 5G sites in the coming period, extending coverage to Dbayeh, Beirut International Airport, Adlieh, and Jounieh. This will be followed by the deployment of 75 additional 5G sites across various areas of Lebanon with their locations to be announced progressively.
