Beirut - Lebanon, January 16, 2026: Alfa published key 2025 milestones, demonstrating the network’s readiness to support digital transformation in Lebanon.
Data released by Alfa on its social media platforms showed that 5G, which it activated for the first time in Lebanon during Pope Leo XIV’s Mass at the Beirut Waterfront, was able to handle 52% of total internet consumption. Actual 5G speeds exceeded 700 megabits per second.
The company also outlined main highlights of the 2025 network expansion and modernization plan which included putting 38 new sites into service, in addition to boosting the capacity of the 4G network at around 300 sites. Among the main highlights of 2025, Alfa inaugurated the Alfa Data Center, capable of carrying 50% of Alfa’s data traffic.
Figures further showed a 22% increase in internet consumption on Alfa’s network compared to 2024 with average consumption per user exceeding 10 gigabytes, an indicator of the rapidly growing reliance on digital services.
Alfa also revealed that it handled more than 1.5 million subscriber calls in 2025 and welcomed around one million subscribers at its stores and points of sale, reflecting the high level of engagement and growth of its subscriber base.
