Beirut, Lebanon, July 5, 2022:
Alfa and touch have received a number of complaints from postpaid customers who usually settle their bills through bank transfer stating that some banks are forcing them to pay in USD whereas their mobile bill settlement payment process is in the national currency. This is not consistent with the applied payment mechanism which consists of bills settlement through direct debit in LBP as per Sayrafa rate.
Alfa and touch request from their customers to inform them whenever they face a similar issue, and they will take the necessary measures with the banks.
