How It Works
Go to the "Call Costs" menu by typing the PIN2 code that you will be given when you subscribe to this service. 

  • Set the unit value at "0.6"(0.60 for Motorola phones)
  • Go to "Cost Limitation" menu to set the desired consumption ceiling in cents. No outgoing call can be made above this ceiling unless changed
  • Go to the "Show Call Costs" menu to see the cost of the calls

Note: This service does not reflect the total amount of your bill.

The Advice of Charge service gives you only the amount of the connection to the Alfa network. It does not take into account all other costs concerning monthly subscriptions, call divert, international access, and SMS.

Private Number service allows you to control the display of your number during each call; you can decide to show your number or hide it.

How It Works

There are two types of subscriptions to this service:

  • When using PN1, your telephone number is hidden by default on the screen of the correspondent. You can choose to show your number by dialing *31# before the number you are calling or by referring to your mobile phone user guide.
  • When using PN2, your telephone number is displayed by default on the screen of the correspondent. You can choose to hide your number by dialing #31# before the number you are calling.

N.B.: Some mobile phones do not have the Private Number option.

The Twin service allows you to hold two SIM cards with two different numbers! What’s cool about this service is that only the main number is displayed.

  • Twin subscribers get 60 free minutes a month
  • Customers can only receive Twin’s SIM card from any Alfa store

 

How It Works

The Private Number service is mandatory and free on the twin card, so the twin number cannot be called.
Calls diverted from the main number to the twin are done automatically and free of charge if:

  • There is no answer on the main number after 15 seconds
  • The main number is out of reach, busy or the call rejected
  • The main number can call Twin (only if diverted calls is activated) by dialing its own number
  • The tariffs per minute are similar to the normal rate of $0.11 (VAT excluded)

How to Subscribe/Unsubscribe

Twin card cannot be activated by calling 111, however customers can call to cancel.


Important To Know

  • The Twin number will be added on the main’s contract number, thus the same mode of payment will apply on both numbers
  • VIP, Message Box, Clip Alert, Mobile Internet and Advice of Charge services could not be activated on the Twin number
  • Twin cannot be called directly
  • Once principal is temporary suspended, the Twin will be suspended as well, and the principal will be charged $10 VAT excluded per month
  • Twin can only be suspended as lost reason
  • If Twin is abroad, the user of Twin can make and receive calls/SMS, the diverted calls of (incoming calls to principal) will be active, and roaming tariffs will apply on the incoming and outgoing calls.
    - If Principal is abroad, Twin will remain active in Lebanon only for outgoing calls, and divert from principal to Twin will function once the principal is switched off.
    Twin calls Principal as if in Lebanon and will be billed as a local call while Principal pays “incoming call” roaming tariffs apply.
    In case Principal wants to call TWIN, he should switch off the Principal number and call himself from another number, both can communicate via SMS.


- If both are abroad, calls from Principal to Twin cannot be diverted, and Principal cannot call the Twin number; Twin can call principal and roaming Tariffs apply.

  • Secondary account users can unsubscribe from U-share at any time, effective immediately
  • Secondary account users can either subscribe to a U-share or a Mobile Internet bundle, though any active data bundle will be cancelled (except for BlackBerry service) upon subscribing
  • Extra MB consumption is not allowed for secondary users
  • If Secondary is a Postpaid MBB and cancels his sharing; MBB subscriber should activate any data service within 4 months or the line will be cancelled

 

When you cancel your data bundle, the remaining MBS will be lost, and the bundle price is non-refundable.
When you modify your data bundle, your current service is cancelled (the remaining MBs will be lost) and charges for the new service will apply.

How It Works

AlfaPay is enabled by default for all prepaid and postpaid subscribers.

The Credit Transfer service allows postpaid subscribers to transfer credit to all prepaid subscribers and prepaid MBB (except Alfa ).

How IT Works

  1. By SMS 
    To transfer credit to another mobile number, all you have to do is send an SMS to 1333 with the following: 
    - The 8-digit mobile number you want to send credit to, followed by the letter T and the amount of dollars you wish to transfer
    - The SMS format should be: 03 / 71 / 76 / 79 or 70XXXXXXT, then the amount
    Note: You will receive a confirmation message for every transaction.
     
  2. USSD *111#

Tap2Pay allows you to pay through smartphones and readers that have NFC technology.

 

How It Works

In order to benefit from Tap2Pay, you must have:

  • A mobile phone with NFC capabilities
  • An NFC SIM card (Once the NFC SIM card is inserted, a “Tap2Pay” icon will appear directly on the menu of your phone.)
  • A Bank Audi MasterCard credit card in LBP or USD

 

How To Subscribe/Unsubscribe

- Enrollment:
In order to benefit from the service, you can apply at any Bank Audi branch or Alfa store by filling and signing an application. 
Bank Audi performs the SIM card replacement and delivers it to you within 48 hours. 
Once the old SIM card stops, you can insert your new NFC SIM and start using your smartphone normally to make phone calls and mobile payments.
You have to make sure that the NFC service is enabled on your smartphone’s settings.
 

- Payment Transaction:
A Tap2Pay transaction is completed when you choose Tap your mobile to pay on the application, type your passcode, the merchant enters the amount to be paid on the POS machine, and you tap your phone near the reader.
 

Important To Know

  • Bank Audi charges $15 annually for Tap2Pay usage
  • This service is available for all prepaid and postpaid lines
  • It can be used anywhere in Lebanon and abroad; there’s no need to have the Roaming service activated
  • There’s no need to have internet connection to make a payment
  • In case the NFC-enabled phone or SIM card is lost, you should immediately call Bank Audi to stop the NFC service and Alfa to suspend the line
  • SIM card replacement is performed at any Bank Audi branch and costs $8
  • Upon line cancellation, the NFC service remains active. Accordingly, you must contact the bank to stop it
  • The NFC service will not be affected if the mobile number is suspended for any reason

This service allows you to send and receive messages on your mobile.

You can even send messages abroad, even if you haven’t chosen the International Call option on your mobile; you would just have to pay the standard rate. However, your correspondent abroad must be on a network that has signed a roaming agreement with us.
