About the service
A wide new range of BlackBerry plans are now available for Alfa Prepaid and Alfa subscribers:
  • BlackBerry Social: With a capacity up to 47 MB / week , BlackBerry Social offers access to social networking applications, such as: Facebook®, Twitter®, BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), and whatsApp, in addition to video streaming.
  • BlackBerry Complete: With a capacity up to 47 MB / week , subscribers can configure 1 external email account as well as access to social networking and instant messaging applications, such as: Facebook®, Twitter®, BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), Windows live messenger and Yahoo Messenger, in addition to video streaming.
  • BlackBerry Prime: With a capacity up to 175 MB / week for Alfa perpaid and 170 MB / week for Alfa , configure up to 10 external email accounts in addition to Video streaming, access to social networking and instant messaging applications, such as: Facebook®, Twitter®, BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), Windows live messenger and Yahoo Messenger
  • BlackBerry Prime+: With a capacity up to 358 MB / week, configure up to 10 external email accounts in addition to Video streaming, access to social networking and instant messaging applications, such as: Facebook®, Twitter®, BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), Windows live messenger and Yahoo Messenger

How to subscribe / unsubscribe?
To subscribe / unsubscribe to the BlackBerry service:
  • Dial *111#
  • Call 1454 (free of charge)
  • Click here
  • Send SMS to 1043:
    - To activate, send: BA*<plan name> e.g: BA*social
    - To deactivate, send: BD
    - To modify, send: BM*<new plan name>
A confirmation SMS will be sent to you, informing you of the successful activation / deactivation of the service.
How to configure your e-mail?
Option 1: Setting your e-mail account using your device.
Step 1: Verify your BlackBerry® smartphone is connected to the wireless network
Step 2: From the home screen go to Setup
Step 3: Click Setup Wizard
Step 4: Click Email Setup
Step 5: In the setup wizard, on the email setup screen, select the "I want to create or add an email address" option and follow the wizard to open the email setup website on your device
Step 6: If you agree to the legal terms and conditions, click the Yes checkbox after the statement I have read and understood the end user agreement then click on the "I Agree" link

Add or create a personal or work email address:
Step 7: To associate an existing, supported email address with your BlackBerry® device, type the email address information and then click next then OK
Step 8: To create a new email address for your device, click Create a BlackBerry® email address. Type your desired BlackBerry® email address and password. Confirm any additional information and click the OK link.
Step 9: To learn more about the setting up email addresses or using the email setup website, click Help.
Step 10: To log out of the email setup website click the [MENU] key and select Close.

Option 2: Setting your e-mail account using your computer.
Step 1: Register the BlackBerry® smartphone over the wireless network. Navigate to your wireless service provider's BlackBerry® Internet Service from Alfa account page www.alfa.blackberry.com
Step 2: Click Create New Account Set up.
Step 3: Read the Legal Terms and Conditions carefully, select Yes then I Agree.
Step 4: Type the personal information number (PIN) and International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) for your BlackBerry® smartphone, and click Continue.
Step 5: Type a user name and password and click Next.
Step 6: Your BlackBerry® Internet Service account from Alfa is now set up. You may begin adding email accounts or create a BlackBerry® email address example: user@alfa.blackberry.com
Useful tips
  • BlackBerry® service is not allowed during retention period
  • You must recharge your line within the first 5 days of retention or else your Blackberry subscription will be cancelled.
  • You can benefit from the subscription of the service the whole subscription period even after its cancellation
  • If no sufficient credits available on service renewal date, the service will be cancelled. Once you recharge your line, you need to re-subscribe for the service re-activation.
  • You can check your MB consumption through:
    - Dialing *11#
    - Going to m.alfa.com.lb → My bill from your BlackBerry® handset
