Beirut, Lebanon, June 6, 2022: Further to the news circulating on social media platforms concerning Alfa prepaid lines and the joint points of sale, Alfa clarifies the following:
1- The procedure applied by Alfa requesting from prepaid line holders to register their lines at Alfa Stores or certified distributors came in implementation of a judiciary order after investigations indicated that these lines have been registered under fake IDs without prior knowledge of the line holders, and some were used in crime acts.
2- The joint points of sale with Ogero are operating normally as per the official operating hours and no disruptions are being faced at all in the workflow. Alfa Stores, for instance, continue to open normally from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 3pm.
