Alfa announces Internal “General Mobilization” and Starts Implementation of the Remote Working Policy (#StayHome, (#خليك_بالبيت

Beirut, Lebanon March 16, 2020: In response to the Council of Ministers decision, Alfa, managed by Orascom TMT, announces that it started as of today the execution of the #StayHome (#خليك_بالبيت) and remote working policy to ensure services continuity during crisis to customers and limit direct social interaction as a powerful weapon to fight the spread of coronavirus.
As part of this emergency measure that also includes Alfa Stores which are closed since last Wednesday and until further notice, all Alfa services shall remain available to customers smoothly and seamlessly. Concurrently, Alfa is taking all measures to avoid the exposure of its employees to the risk of infection with the virus and transmitting it to their families, surroundings and community. As such, Alfa employees will be working remotely to ensure business continuity, from home, or wherever and whenever an urgent need arises, yet of course without exposing them to any health risks, which ensures balancing between the continuity of the service and protecting our staff.
In light of the above, we ask Alfa customers to reach out to us mainly through our Live Chat services over the Alfa website and Alfa mobile app, as well as our digital support channels through facebook and twitter. Customer service through the 111 Helpline will remain available however exceptionally between 8am and 10pm for the time being. As for the bills payment service, it will still be available in operational branches of OMT, BOB Finance, Cash United, and LibanPost.
Alfa management and all employees are committed to continue working to preserve the interests and safety of Lebanese citizens during this difficult period of Lebanon’s modern history.
