Alfa’s Ordinary General Assembly Elects Rafic El Haddad as Chairman & CEO

Beirut - September 16, 2025: Alfa’s Ordinary General Assembly (OGA) convened in the presence of Minister of Telecommunications Charles Hage and elected the company’s Board of Directors for a one-year term. The Board then met and elected Mr. Rafic El Haddad as Chairman and CEO for one year.

In his remarks, Minister Hage said: “Congratulations to the newly elected Board members, and special congratulations to Rafic on being elected Chairman and CEO of Alfa. Lead with dignity and professionalism”.

He added: “Our mission is clear. We are here to serve people, not just operate a network. Modernizing the network is our top priority. Alfa must become a main and reliable provider of broadband Internet. Fixed Wireless Access will be the cornerstone of our 3-year plan. Together, Alfa and Touch should account for more than 30% of broadband Internet users, alongside fiber and satellites”.

Minister Hage continued: “We are moving toward a full end-to-end digital experience, from network performance to customer interaction. Our goal is to provide a seamless and modern digital experience that meets subscribers’ expectations and needs”.

He also outlined the plan for the coming months which shall include, “a tender to modernize the radio access network (RAN), phased 5G rollout, and a major step in quality and competitiveness”. Minister Hage added: “At the same time, we must build new digital services in Fintech and cloud while also launching innovations to serve subscribers and grow revenues”.

He emphasized “the need for subscribers to notice improvements before the end of the year, in terms of network coverage, service quality, and digital experience”. He also urged the new Board “to introduce generous student packages to support online learning and research”.

Minister Hage finally thanked Mr. Jad Nassif for his service and wished him success in his next chapter.

The Board of Directors agreed on the vision presented by Minister Hage and reaffirmed its commitment to boost the mobile sector’s positioning and competitiveness.
