How to use the service
Subscribe to Friends & Family, and then pick and choose 2 preferred numbers (mobile lines and/orlandlines) of your choice.


How to activate the service

  • Call 1454 (free of charge) and follow the instructions
  • Send a free SMS
    • to subscribe, send:
      S<Alfa preferred number> (8 digits) to 1043
      Example: S03XXXXXX
    • To modify, send:
      M<old preferred number, new preferred number> (8 digits each) to 1043

If you choose to unsubscribe while you are still within your Friends & Family active period, the service will stay operational until its renewal date.In case your line is in the retention period, or you don’t have enough credits on your renewal date, Friends & Family will be automatically renewed once you recharge your line. 
 

Useful tips 

  • Friends & Family is for Alfa Prepaid subscribers only.
  • Preferred numbers can be any 2 local numbers (mobile lines or/and landlines).
  • While abroad, Friends & Family subscribers will not benefit from the discount.
  • If your Alfa preferred number is roaming, you still benefit from the discount.
  • Upon automatic renewal, the list of preferred numbers remains the same.
  • Subscribers to the Invisible service will have to pay the extra $0.25/call fee, in addition to the discounted minutes.

How to use the service 
In a text message, enclose "E" followed by the 8-digit Alfa number of the person you wish to send the SMS to, and send it to 1339 for free. Alfa will then send “Ehkineh from Alfa: Please call me back" to the person you’re trying to reach.

Note: Once the SMS is sent, you will receive a confirmation message and the number of remaining free SMSes.


Useful tips

The video call feature allows you to make and receive local calls while seeing the person you’re talking to.
Making a video call is as simple as making a phone call; just dial the number and press the video call icon.

This feature has no monthly subscription fee, and calls are charged by the minute.

  • The feature is enabled / disabled from your handset.

  • If you are subscribed to the "Friends & Family" service and you made a call during off-peak hours, the higher discounted rate is applied.
  • If you are subscribed to the VIP service and you have the VIP code enabled, your video call will not go through.

About
The VIP service allows you to create a list of approved or unapproved numbers that can reach you on your mobile for extra privacy. You can also limit access to those you have previously given the VIP code.


Features and Useful Tips 

  • Add up to 10 numbers under each list (Can Call Me or Cannot Call Me).
  • Add country prefixes to control the calls from a certain country and control the times and dates these numbers can contact you.
  • Filter the voice or video calls.
  • Block private calls.
  • Block SMS notifications.


How do I use it?

  • Log in to the VIP section to manage your VIP and Access pin codes, and follow the instructions to set the time/date intervals for each number from the lists.
  • The lists of numbers can be filtered by voice and video calls depending on your preference.
  • You can edit the time and date intervals of the numbers at any time. All you have to do is select the number you wish to edit and you will be able to re-configure the settings.
  • VIP subscribers can choose to block private calls and set their preferred language.
  • The service can also be managed by calling 115.

  • The subscription will be automatically renewed every 30 days. If you don’t have enough credit and your line is in retention period (6th day), your service subscription will be automatically cancelled.
  • If you’re out of MBs before your subscription expires, you have the possibility to continue browsing using extra MBs, which will be deducted from your account balance.

How to configure your email?
Option 1: Setting your email account using your device
Step 1: Verify that your BlackBerry® smartphone is connected to the wireless network.
Step 2: From the home screen, go to Setup.
Step 3: Click Setup Wizard.
Step 4: Click Email Setup.
Step 5: In the Setup Wizard, on the email setup screen, select "I want to create or add an email address" option and follow the wizard to open the email setup website on your device.
Step 6: Once you’ve agreed to the Legal Terms and Conditions, click Yes, and then click I Agree.

 

Add or create a personal or work email address
Step 7: To associate an existing, supported email address with your BlackBerry® device, type the email address information,click next, and then OK.
Step 8: To create a new email address for your device, click Create a BlackBerry® email address. Type your desired BlackBerry® email address and password. Confirm any additional information and click OK.
Step 9: To learn more about setting up email addresses or using the email setup website, click Help. 
Step 10: To log out of the email setup website, click the [MENU] key and select Close. 

Option 2: Setting your email account using your computer
Step 1: Register the BlackBerry® smartphone over the wireless network. Navigate to your wireless service provider's BlackBerry® Internet Service from the Alfa account page www.alfa.blackberry.com
Step 2: Click Create New Account Set up.
Step 3: Read the Legal Terms and Conditions carefully, select Yes, and then I Agree.
Step 4: Type the personal information number (PIN) and International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) for your BlackBerry® smartphone, and click Continue.
Step 5: Type a username and password, and click Next.
Step 6: Your BlackBerry® Internet Service account from Alfa is now ready. You may begin adding email accounts or create a BlackBerry® email address (user@alfa.blackberry.com).

BlackBerry® service is not allowed during retention period.

How does it work?

To send and receive animated images, you should have an MMS-enabled mobile that is configured for these types of messages.

Each MMS can hold up to a maximum of 100KB. Some mobiles are limited to a lower capacity.

Description:
Tap2Pay allows you to pay through smartphones and readers that have NFC technology.
In order to benefit from Tap2Pay, you must have:
A mobile phone with NFC capabilities
An NFC SIM card (Once the NFC SIM card is inserted, a “Tap2Pay” icon will appear directly on the menu of your phone.)
A Bank Audi MasterCard credit card in LBP or USD
 

Enrollment:
In order to benefit from the service, you can apply at any Bank Audi branch or Alfa store by filling and signing an application. 
Bank Audi performs the SIM card replacement and delivers it to you within 48 hours. 
Once the old SIM card stops, you can insert your new NFC SIM and start using your smartphone normally to make phone calls and mobile payments.
You have to make sure that the NFC service is enabled on your smartphone’s settings.
 

Payment Transaction:
A Tap2Pay transaction is completed when you choose Tap your mobile to pay on the application, type your passcode, the merchant enters the amount to be paid on the POS machine, and you tap your phone near the reader.
 

Useful info
Bank Audi charges $15 annually for Tap2Pay usage.
This service is available for all prepaid and postpaid lines.
It can be used anywhere in Lebanon and abroad; there’s no need to have the Roaming service activated.
There’s no need to have internet connection to make a payment.
In case the NFC-enabled phone or SIM card is lost, you should immediately call Bank Audi to stop the NFC service and Alfa to suspend the line.
SIM card replacement is performed at any Bank Audi branch and costs $8.
Upon line cancellation, the NFC service remains active. Accordingly, you must contact the bank to stop it.
The NFC service will not be affected if the mobile number is suspended for any reason.
